Over $200,000 was raised last month in an effort to fund the Santa Cruz based Organic Farming Research Foundation. $85,000 was raised during the 18th annual Organic Harvest Benefit dinner in San Francisco, and $128,000 was raised after a community giving day took place when people shopped at 31 Whole Foods in the Northern California and Reno regions. Proceeds from the events will go towards work to help transform agriculture by providing organic farmers with the policy tools and production they need to thrive.
