WVILLE MURDER ARRAIGNMENT TODAY 10-29-10 05:50 a.v.
An arraignment is slated today for a 17-year old accused of killing a Watsonville store owner during a recent robbery. Christian Speaker, who is expected to be charged as an adult in Santa Cruz County Court, faces life in prison without parole for the October 19th fatal shooting of the owner of Fiesta Latino Market, Yahya Ahmed. Surveillance video captured the incident at the East Beach Street market. Speaker, meanwhile, remains in Juvenile Hall until he turns 18, when he will be transferred to Santa Cruz County Jail.
