WVILLE NURSES RALLY 10-28-10 17:00 a.v.

A rally took place this afternoon in front of Watsonville Community Hospital when over 100 nurses and others protested lagging contract negotiations and a lockout. Today’s rally follows a 24-hour strike that nurses held Tuesday when they walked off the job but then were turned away when they attempted to return to their shifts yesterday. Nurses, who say they want increased staffing to better care for patients, will return to work early tomorrow morning, when the hospital has said they will be re-admitted. According to the union, no talks are scheduled.
