CAPITOLA P.D. GRANT 10-27-10 08:30 a.v.
The Capitola Police Department recently received a grant to improve it’s traffic enforcement program. The $51,000 grant will reportedly help purchase 4 new radar devices to catch speeding drivers, along with funding safety demonstrations for child seats. The money has been awarded from the California Office of Traffic Safety and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration state traffic office. The grant is said to also fund special traffic enforcement operations.
