MCO EMPLOYEE GRAND THEFT ARREST 10-21-10 19:20 a.v.

A Salinas woman was sentenced to spend time in prison along with several years on probation for felony grand theft. 29-year old Elizabeth Serrano is expected to spend 41 days in jail and serve 3 years probation time after obtaining access to a debit card belonging to an aid-recipient while temporarily working at the Monterey County Department of Social and Employment Services. Serrano reportedly used the card at an ATM window to withdraw $760 in cash aid allotted to the client’s family. Serrano pleaded guilty on September 9th to the charges.
