A man suffered a gunshot wound to his leg after attempting to burglarize a Prunedale home yesterday. Monterey County Sheriff’s Deputies say Craig Bowers tried breaking into the home at around 10 p.m. when the home’s occupant was armed with a gun and ordered Bowers to get out of the house. Bowers reportedly continued to approach the man, who then fired his gun towards the victim. Bowers fled the scene and was later found by deputies at a Gilroy hospital.
