KILLED SALINAS FARM WORKER IDENTIFIED 10-20-10 06:30 a.v.

A Salinas farm-worker, who was killed this week during a reported occupational accident, has been identified. 46-year old Alfredo Gonzalez Raya died at the scene when he was struck by an agriculture vehicle while he was working in a field located at Cooper and Blanco Roads in Salinas. An autopsy confirmed that Raya died as a result of multiple blunt-force injuries. The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the California Highway Patrol along with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and the Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
