SALINAS BROTHERS PLEAD NOT GUILTY 10-19-10 19:30 a.v.

A Salinas man pleaded not guilty today to charges that he kidnapped and stabbed his girlfriend’s 12-year old son over the weekend. The boy was found early Sunday morning in a field just outside of Salinas on Chualar Canyon Road with up to 30-stab wounds to his upper body, 6 or 7 hours after the assault. 29-year old Severino Perez faces charges of attempted murder with enhancements of inflicting great bodily injury and use of a deadly weapon, kidnapping, child endangerment and filing a false report. Meanwhile his brother, 25-year old Domingo Perez was charged with child endangerment, inflicting great bodily injury, in addition to arrest warrants. Both men pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
