The City of Santa Cruz is accepting nominations for The 2010 Officer Jim Howes Community Service Award. One City employee and one community member have been awarded every year for their outstanding service to the Santa Cruz community since Officer Howes retired in 2007. The award honors recipients who exemplify Officer Howe’s positive approach and “partnership building” between the city and community, along with a collaborative solution oriented approach to solving community problems. Nomination forms are available on the city’s website at www.cityofsantacruz.com. The nomination period will close Monday November 8th at 5 p.m.
