FORMER FORT ORD BURN - updated 10/07/10 16:20 a.v.
A prescribed burn that began this morning on the Former Fort Ord, is now complete. Roughly 110 acres burned today at Burn Unit 21. The Presidio of Monterey Fire Department is said to be monitoring the area, and the monitoring is expected to continue through tomorrow morning. A 2nd prescribed burn at Burn Unit 15 (about 167 acres) may take place tomorrow, weather permitting.
