Cabrillo College board members unanimously approved a construction bid for a planned Green Technology Center in Watsonville. Yesterday’s approval comes after the total cost of the bid for the 14,000 square foot student education center was cut. Board members approved the 6.8 million dollar project after identifying $500,000 in cost-cutting measures. The new Green Technology Center, which will be used to educate students on the practices of green building, will be built on the site of the old Watsonville Library on Union Street.
