The findings of a team of scientists studying a distant planet were released yesterday(wed).  U.C. Santa Cruz astrophysicist Steven Vogt led one of the teams of researchers, who spent 11 years studying the planet.  Their study, suggests that the climate and atmospheric conditions on the planet would make it possible for life to exist there.  Vogt designed a telescopic device that helped measure the planet’s sun.   The earth-like planet has been dubbed “gliese 581 g,” and is about 20-light-years away from earth.
