A domestic violence call led to the arrest of a Salinas man after a 3-hour stand-off occurred last night near Natividad Creek Park. Police responded to Las Casitas Drive off Constitution Boulevard around 4 p.m. to find 37-year old Miguel Vasquez Trejo threatening his wife with a machete. Police say Trejo was intoxicated while he held his wife hostage. After lengthy negotiations, officers subdued the man with a stun gun and then placed him under arrest at around 7 p.m. His wife suffered a superficial cut, but otherwise was not injured.
