A meeting to hear public opinions on a proposed vacation rental ordinance takes place in Santa Cruz tonight. County supervisors are considering proposing a regulation on homes in residential areas that are used for vacation rentals, which are being used for large groups, detracting from the community feel of the neighborhood. An ordinance is currently being drafted for the board’s consideration. The Planning Department is currently accepting public comment. Tonight’s meeting takes place at 6:30 p.m. at Green Acres Elementary School on 966 Bostwick Lane.
