SALINAS SHOOTER ARRESTED 09-21-10 17:00 a.v.
A 16-year old was arrested in Salinas today after gunshots were heard yesterday near Alisal Community School. The shooting occurred at about 2:30 p.m. at Williams Road and Del Monte Avenue, causing Alisal Community School to go on lock down for about 10-minutes while officers searched the area for the shooter. Officers spotted a teen today, who matched the description provided by witnesses, walking to school near North Main Street and Lake Street. The boy was cited on suspicion of possessing a firearm and discharging a firearm in a negligent manner, he was later released to his parents.
