California lawmakers are expected to resume budget negotiations today(Mon), after talks on Friday ended without any progress. Friday also marked a new record, for the longest the state has gone without passing an operating budget. The previous record was 78 days over the deadline. Monday marks the 82nd late day for passing a budget. Lawmakers are trying to agree on how to close a 19-billion dollar gap between expected revenue and projected spending.
