SALINAS BURGLAR ARRESTED 09-13-10 10:30 a.v.
A man accused in a Salinas burglary has been arrested. The Friday incident occurred at a home in the 300 block of Cross Avenue, near Williams Road after a responding officer saw a man jump the back fence of a home when he arrived. A neighbor helped officers locate the man who was found inside the bedroom of a nearby apartment acting like he was asleep. 19-year old Preston Cunha was arrested after jewelry taken from the burglary was found inside his pockets. He was booked into Santa Cruz County jail on charges including burglary and resisting arrest.
