6-Y/O SHOT IN SALINAS - UPDATED 09-01-10 05:30 a.v.
Police responded to a shooting at a Salinas Apartment Complex yesterday afternoon. Police say a 12-year old accidentally shot his 6-year old brother once in the stomach at the Boronda Manor Apartments on the 2,000 block of Santa Rita Street at about 5 p.m. The boy was air-lifted to an area hospital where he remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The gun used in the incident is said to belong to one of the parents, who were not home at the time of the shooting. No arrests have been made, meanwhile the boy’s parents may face charges of child endangerment.
