WVILLE RECOMMENDS FLUORIDATION CONTRACT 08-31-10 17:30 a.v.
A 2-to-1 vote yesterday in Watsonville comes after city council members recommended moving ahead with a contract to pay for fluoridation of the public water supply. Yesterday’s decision comes a day after a deadline set by the state Department of Public Health for the city to commit to fluoridating it’s water. Cities with populations of 10,000 or more are required to fluoridate if an outside entity is willing to pay.
