WATSONVILLE ASSAULT & ROBBERY ARREST 08-27-10 12:25 a.v.
2 reported gang members were taken into custody last night near Watsonville High School. The suspects approached the victim, who was riding a skateboard along the sidewalk, at 7:15 p.m. in the area of Maple and Union Street, and asked him his gang affiliation. The victim was then punched in the face and then robbed of some clothing items. Watsonville police captured the 2 suspects, 18-year old Antonio Mendoza and a 16-year old juvenile, and charged them with strong armed robbery, conspiracy, and a gang enhancement.
