A decision has been postponed by the Santa Cruz County Board of Education to renew Pacific Collegiate School’s charter. The school has requested a 30-day delay to meet with school district officials over the issue of giving enrollment preference to students who live within the district. The district has opposed the move. Both sides are expected to negotiate the school’s and the district’s terms of education. Pacific Collegiate leases the former Natural Bridges Elementary School facility on the Westside from the district.
