P-G-and-E officials will hold a meeting today in Capitola in an effort to help answer questions and address concerns about SmartMeters. Today’s open house meeting follows several meetings held yesterday in Santa Cruz and Watsonville to discuss a possible moratorium on new SmartMeter installation. The Santa Cruz County Board of supervisors agreed to draft a SmartMeter ban in the unincorporated communities. Final consideration of the ban is scheduled for September 14th. Meanwhile, in Watsonville, the City Council approved the County’s first moratorium on SmartMeters. Today’s meeting will take place at 4 p.m. at 1955 41st Avenue in suite B-2 in Capitola.
