A former worker with Santa Clara County Department of Corrections is expected to appear in court today on allegations of child molestation. Jose Zarate faces up to 30-years in prison on charges including lewd and lascivious acts on a child by force, on a child under 14, violence, duress and fear. The 21-year old victim claims she was molested by Zarate for about 4-years starting when she was 9 years old.
