2-men were arrested in Marina on Saturday who are accused of several thefts in Monterey County. An off-duty Marina Police Officer detained 21-year-old Jerry Franklin and 19-year-old James Williams after noticing them loitering. The two were arrested after police say they found a stolen G-P-S device on Williams. Franklin was booked into Monterey County Jail for Prowling and a Probation Violation, and Williams was booked on charges of Prowling, Providing False I.D., and Possession of Stolen Property. Police believe the two may be involved in as many as 8-robberies in Monterey and Marina.
