BIG SUR LAND TRUST’S NEW PURCHASE 08-20-10 11:00 a.v.
Another trail section along the lower Carmel River has been acquired by the Big Sur Land Trust. $225,000 in private funds was used to purchase the mile-long easement that is expected to connect existing trails at Palo Corona Regional Park to the Quail Lodge area. The trail segment is slated to be completed by late next year with funding provided by state grant money in conjunction with the Monterey County Public Works Department.
