State Furloughs Upheld 08/18/10 6:30pm TDH
The latest, and likely final decision regarding state-employee-furloughs has been made. California’s supreme court ruled today(wed) that the governor’s order can go forward. The governor had ordered state employees to take 3-unpaid days off each month, however a superior court judge issued a temporary restraining order against the move. After an appellate court declined to remove the order, the supreme court stayed the decision. State employees are now expected to take the furlough days.
