SALINAS'S NEW CRIME CAMPAIGN 08-18-10 08:00 a.v.
A new business campaign, launched by Salinas’s Salvation Army is an effort to help residents fight gang violence in the city. The new program titled “I’ll Fight”, calls for businesses in Salinas to become safety hubs that assist witnesses and victims of crimes from gang-related assaults to domestic violence. The campaign, in collaboration with the Alisal Rotary, will run from October through Easter Sunday. A campaign logo will be displayed inside the business storefront identifying the business as a ‘safety mission spot’ where people can find protection and information.
