Fire crews in Scotts Valley responded to a report of a small grass fire around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon. Fire crews say a boy playing with fireworks caused the small blaze, which occurred near the Scotts Valley Dog Park on Kings Village Road. The fire, which burned behind the fenced-in dog area, near storage units, Skypark and the backside of a shopping center, burned a patch of grass about 25-feet-by-150-feet. The fire was quickly contained, no injuries were reported.
