The city of Santa Cruz will not be a stop on the 2011 AMGEN Tour of California. Mayor Mike Rotkin says the city doesn't have the budget for staffing for the event. Tour of California organizers have contacted city managers of Capitola to possibly host the race finish there next year. City leaders have not yet decided on whether or not to host the race finish.
