A health advisory, that was posted for several Monterey beaches this week, was lifted yesterday for water near the Best Western Monterey Beach Hotel in Seaside. 3 local beaches received warnings Tuesday after unsafe levels of bacteria were found during water quality testing. An advisory remains in effect for Lovers Point Beach in Pacific Grove, where visitors are advised to avoid contact with the water. Meanwhile, a warning was lifted at San Carlos Beach in Monterey Wednesday after tests revealed safe bacteria levels for human contact.
