Two Salinas men who allegedly shot and killed a young man in Watsonville last year will go to trial. A Santa Cruz County Superior Court Judge ruled that sufficient evidence was presented by the prosecution for the case to go to trial. 24 year-old Julian Escobar and 26 year-old Jose Sandoval are accused of shooting Angel Esobedo at a basketball court in the Apple Hill neighborhood of Watsonville in March of 2009.
