A $15,000 award was given to the Santa Cruz Parks and Rec. Department this week to help support the Santa Cruz Teen Center. The grant, funded by The Community Foundation of Santa Cruz County, will be used to increase membership and activities for Santa Cruz youth ages 12 to 18. The teen center faced closure last year due to city budget cuts, however grants and community donations, have kept the center from closing it’s doors.
