Fire crews in San Benito County continue to remain at the scene of a fire that broke out yesterday afternoon. The fire broke out around 5 p.m. at The Eagle Recycling Disposal Facility on San Juan Road in Hollister, which then spread to nearby vegetation. Fire officials say spot fires in the vegetation were contained shortly after the fire broke out, however 50-to-75% of the building has been destroyed, causing at least $300,000 in damages. A precautionary alert was issued warning people in the area to shut their windows and doors. No injuries were reported and no evacuations have been ordered.
