3-non-injury shootings occurred in Salinas on Sunday, after a string of fatal shootings last week. 2-people were killed in the city on Wednesday, and 2-more on Friday. Several others were injured in those shootings. On Sunday morning, a woman went to check on her car at 2:40 a.m., at John Street and John Circle. She saw a roughly-18-year-old man, who shot at her and fled. She was not hit. Later in the day, at 1:50 p.m., a man in his 20’s was shot at while sitting in his car North Sanborn Road and Buckhorn Drive. The car was struck, however the man was not. And just before 8 p.m., shots were fired at a house on East Bolivar Street, in North Salinas. Nobody was injured in that incident.
Police are investigating if Sunday’s shootings are connected, and if they are related to last week’s violence. So far, no arrests have been made in any of the incidents.
