Food Stamp Changes 7/25/10 TDH

California Social Services officials have announced changes to the state’s food stamp program.   The new policies make it easier for those who have been suspended from the program to re-start their enrollment once the problem has been fixed.  The previous guidelines required recipients to re-start the entire application process.   Now, easily-corrected problems (such as submitting paperwork) can re-activate enrollment with more efficiency.  About 3-million 270-thousand Californians are enrolled in the state’s food stamp program.
