S.C. COUNTY FURLOUGH FRIDAY 07-22-10 05:30 a.v.

Beginning today, Santa Cruz County offices will be closed as part of a cost saving measure. County leaders announced this week that furloughs will occur one Friday a month for the next year, and for a week at the end of December. All County parks, courts, state legislative offices and child support services will be open. However, some Santa Cruz County Superior Court offices and services will be closed during the county furlough days, such as the Watsonville courthouse. The clerks offices at the Santa Cruz courthouse on Ocean Street will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today with a drop box available until 5 p.m.
