Warning signs have been posted around the Capitola Wharf after Great White Shark sightings were reported this week. Several signs were placed near Capitola Beach around 10 a.m. yesterday morning warning people of the sightings, and to enter the water at their own risk. The initial sightings were reported Tuesday by fishermen who say they saw 2 Great White Sharks swimming around their boat, then early yesterday, 2 surfers also reported seeing a Great White. None of the sightings have been confirmed. Meanwhile, the beach remains open, and the warnings are expected to remain in the area until further notice.
