NOT GUILTY PLEA IN FATAL DUI CRASH 07-14-10 06:30 a.v.

A man charged with providing alcohol to a minor, who killed his friend during a DUI crash on New Year’s Day, pleaded not guilty yesterday. 41-year old Timothy McLaughlin was charged last month with 3 misdemeanors related to providing alcohol to the teen, Alexander Gordon Winn, who caused the death of his friend, Adam Arias during the fatal crash on Corral de Tierra Road, in Salinas. If convicted, McLaughlin faces up to a year in jail, a fine or both, in 2 of the charges, and a fine and 24 hours of community service if convicted of the 3rd. McLaughlin is expected to return to court on August 12th.
