U.C.S.C. ACTIVISTS TRIAL DISMISSED 07-13-10 18:10 a.v.

Charges against 4 animal rights activists accused of a violent protest at the home of a U.C. Santa Cruz researcher nearly 2 years ago, have been dismissed. A federal judge, who dismissed the case a month ago, sided with the activists in a 14-page ruling issued yesterday. The judge claims the rulings against the 4 were not specific enough. Joseph Buddenberg, Maryam Khajavi, Nathan Pope and Adriana Stumpo were arrested back in February of 2009 and charged with interfering with animal enterprise, a violation of a federal law and conspiracy.
