S.J. FATAL CRASH PG&E SETTLEMENT 07-07-10 12:40 a.v.

A San Jose mother is slated to receive a 5-million dollar lawsuit settlement after her daughter was killed in a fiery vehicle crash involving a Pacific-Gas-and-Electric utility truck. The mother, Lisa Bernstien agreed to the settlement last month after her daughter, 20-year old Mary Bernstein along with her boyfriend, died in the 2006 crash after the PG&E truck crashed into a group of cars stopped on an interstate 280 off-ramp. The driver, John Mayfield, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter and was sentenced to spend 3 years in prison.
