New trash rates for San Benito County will begin to take affect next month. Effective July 1st, the rates for Recology San Benito County roadside waste pickup will decrease by 3.16%. The new rates reflect a calculation of the Consumer Price Index and Motor Fuel Index of the previous year. Last year, the C-P-I went up by a small margin of 0.62% however, the fuel rates dropped dramatically, bringing the reduction of rates to 3.16%. The 3.16% decrease is expected to affect Recology rates.
