Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in Santa Cruz on Saturday, who had been wanted for fleeing from authorities. 48-year-old Donald Carl Peter was taken into custody at Ocean and Broadway Streets, after leading deputies on yet another chase, this time on foot. Sheriff’s deputies had been on the lookout for Peter since last Tuesday, when they attempted to serve him with a warrant for a previous police pursuit. He fled the Escalona house in his S.U.V. Authorities noticed the vehicle just before 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, which lead to his arrest. He is facing charges of resisting arrest and violating probation. Donald Peter was convicted 3-months ago of selling methamphetamine to recovering drug addicts at the Seabright-area sobriety home where he was a manager.
