Santa Cruz Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for the public’s help in locating a convicted meth dealer wanted for evading police this week. 48-year old Donald Carl Peter, a former manager of a sober living environment, led sheriff’s deputies on a chase through Santa Cruz’s Westside Tuesday afternoon that ended after deputies thought the pursuit was too dangerous. Deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant at the Escalona house where Peters rents a room, for a prior police chase, when he fled in an S-U-V reportedly driving recklessly through the neighborhood. Deputies ask anyone with information on Peter’s whereabouts, or see a 1996 maroon, Chevy Suburban with California license plate 5-F-E-E-3-5-0 to call 9-1-1.
