The plans for a new library in downtown Santa Cruz has been approved by the Santa Cruz City Council. The project, which would also include housing above the library, and a parking garage adjacent to the first-floor library. The location for the new facility would be the parking lot where the downtown farmers market has been held for years….and the farmers market would be moved to the parking lot at the intersection of Front and Cathcart Streets.
