The recruitment phase for the city of Santa Cruz’ new City Manager is expected to begin around the end of the month. The active recruiting process, which is being handled by a southern-California-based recruiting firm, is expected to take 4-5 weeks and then the firm will vett the candidates…with the inter view process starting in June. To start the whole process of replacing current city manager Martin Bernal (who plans to retire later this year), a survey has been posted at: CityOfSantaCruz.com.cmSearch so that Santa Cruz residents can voice what they are looking for in the next city manager….and what issues they believe to be the most important issues facing the city.
