With the re-opening of some child care facilities, new safety measures have been put in place. At one childcare facility in Salinas that means that the children are being given face shields….since they seem not to fiddle with them as much as masks. The kids are being allowed to decorate them with stickers and other artwork. She said with face shields make it easier to see the kids emotions. Many child care providers are also testing each child’s temperature at the door….and have separated each the cubby, and re-arranged the eating areas.
