A new president has been chosen for the University Of California system. The U.C. Board Of Regents unanimously chose Michael V Drake as the 21st president of the system. Drake is the university system’s first Black president in the 152-year history of the 10-campus system, while Janet Napolitano (whom he succeeds), was the system’s first female president). Drake has been a U.C. faculty member, Health Administrator, and Chancellor.
