A new Defense Language Institute facility will be dedicated to a man, who was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart; the National Intelligence Medal Of Valor; and a Combat Action Ribbon. Just 1 month shy of his 25th birthday (back in 2011), Marine Sergeant Lucas Pyeatt, who graduated from D.L.I. in 2009, was killed while on patrol in Afghanistan. He was buried with Full Honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
