A Salinas restaurant owner has pleaded No Contest to 3 felony charges and 1 misdemeanor charge. The felonies were in connection with insurance and payroll tax fraud, while the misdemeanor charge was for failing to have workers’ compensation insurance. Fernando Jimenez Hernandez has also pleaded No Contest to a misdemeanor charge of serving alcohol to a minor, which resulted in great bodily injury. Hernandez is scheduled to be sentenced august 16th. He faces a minimum of 180 days in jail…and he will be placed on formal supervised probation.
