A group of Monterey Naval Postgraduate students are headed to the Philippines to assist in rescue efforts to typhoon victims. The group will set up wireless networks in an effort to provide communication between emergency responders and their organizations to better coordinate relief efforts. The students are then expected to set up internet cafes for storm victims along with the government, so they can use laptops to get online to send emails, use skyp and make phone calls with loved ones outside of the typhoon ravaged country.
